We are starting to get questions on our opinion of GPS containment systems. After looking at pricing, customer input and reviews, Don's Pet Containment feel GPS systems do not meet our standards of convenience and dependability. Comparing complete installed buried wire system with one collar and a GPS system (without monthly subscription) with one collar, both are in the same price range. With two or more collars, a GPS systems can be very expensive. Buried wire systems have up to three month collar battery life before charging vs. one to three days for GPS systems. Buried wire systems have no signal interference on any kind of terrain (wooded areas and buildings) and has run through protection to keep your pet in the safe zone. Since GPS containment systems seem to be not quite perfected yet, Don's Pet Containment will not include GPS systems as one of our offered services at this time. We know there are a lot of choices out there and hope this article is helpful in making a decision to keep your pet happy and safe in their yard.
